A few new shows! | 21.09.24

How do,

Been a minute since I posted a proper update on here.

Since the last newsflash back in July, I took a quick sabbatical around East Asia for the bulk of August. It wasn’t announced prior, but I ended up playing at Cakeshop in Seoul and at a small kissa in Osaka called Bar WOLS during that holiday. Big love to Niall, Mikey and the Cakeshop crew over in Seoul and Fujita-san in Osaka for organising those shows at such short notice.

I also played at Ancient World less than a week after I got back alongside Nerve (fresh off a previous visit to Adelaide hacking away at the dark skies with Karina Utomo during an opening slot for HEALTH weeks beforehand, and prior to slinging a bass for Melbourne crusty-noise scuzzlords Enzyme the following night) and Claude, who most of you eagle-eyed heads will know as 33.3% of the Small City Systems collective.

Meanwhile, I have some more shows on the pipeline:

October 11th with DJ Swisha (!!!), Rydeen (!!!) and Sovblkpssy (!!!) along with the royal couple of the Nausea collective, Discarded and Bibbe Zee. That one’s going down at Ancient World. There are tickets, but Early Birds have sold out, so I’d get to it if I were you.

October 18th with DJ Perception (!!!) and long-time DJ booth sparring chums Mr. John and Skorpion King. That’s happening at Sugar. Tickets are also available for this one, so slide on over here.

And there’s also the Feast Festival closing weekender with DJ HMC and many other fine flag-wavers repping for the girls, gays and theys in November. The boat for first release tickets sailed a long time ago, but you can still grab a reasonably-priced ticket here.

There’s also a few duck! Radio shows in the pipeline, but you’ll hear about those closer to the time.

There probably won’t be any new music surfacing from the cave for a while, though I do have some music in the works. More on that in a bit.

Cheerio,
Jon/Strict Face
